Hi Colleagues,
Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer and that you are already thinking about our much awaited fall retreat. The HUUMA fall retreat is October 2nd through 5th. We hope to see all of you there and particularly invite the ministers that are new to the district. (If you know a new minister who might not receive this email, please forward it.)
We expect our retreat to start in the late afternoon with orientation for ministers new to our district, followed by a reception for all and an opening worship service. The Program Committee will send out details of our presenters and our daily schedule later this summer. As expected, they are planning a wonderful event!
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION: There are three parts to conference registration.
Part 1: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING YOUR ROOM RESERVATION BY SEPTEMBER 2ND. The Potawatomi Inn is all booked up and has only our block available, so please reserve your rooms early.
Rates are:
The cabins are a short walking distance from the lodge, contain 2 beds, and are not accessible. Wi-Fi from the cabins is extremely spotty.
Our group number is #1002UU. You may mail a check for the deposit to Debbie Brown, Sales Secretary, Potawatomi Inn Resort & Conference Center, 6 Lane 100A Lake James, Angola, IN 46703 or call 260-833-1077 ext 426 or fax it to her at 260-833-8957. You may also call 877-768-2928 and reference Group Block #1002UU to make your reservations.
Again, you must make your own reservations and please make them early.
Part 2: Please complete registration form and email to Deane. Conference Registration Form: (to be filled out and returned to Deane)
Scholarship Policy: In order to assist ministerial colleagues, interns and ministerial students in candidate status to participate fully in chapter retreats and programming, scholarships will be offered to cover up to one-half of the cost (of double occupancy, when appropriate). This scholarship aid will be needs-based, with the need to be self-determined.
Cancellation Policy: People who must cancel once they have made a registration will be reimbursed for what is beyond the cost to the chapter, up to 50% of what the person paid. The registrar will bill those who reserved a space but did not subsequently attend, causing expense to the chapter.
